The Cabins
The cabins are modern houses designed to provide nearly all the comforts of home, including wireless internet. Each has a private bedroom (most with queen size beds) and most have a futon in the living area that makes into a double bed. Nine have a bathroom with a tub/shower unit and toilet. Just outside the bathroom is a privacy nook with a vanity sink. One cabin is wheel chair accessible and has a full bathroom with a roll-in/walk-in shower. This cabin contains a special double bed with a twin bunk overhead. The full kitchen and living area are open together in all cabins. All cabins have oak table and chair sets. The full size kitchen sink and four-burner range with oven make meals easy. A full size refrigerator provides ample space for food and beverages. All ten cabins have a wood stove with glass door providing a charming atmosphere. Each cabin contains dishes, silverware, a toaster, a coffee maker and more. The cabins are located on the base of a mountain with ample space between. Creative cabin location and window placement provide guests with spectacular views while retaining privacy. Parking space is available near each cabin for passenger vehicles. Additional space is available in a general lot for large vehicles and trailers.
Each cabin enterior is decorated in one of the following themes: Frontier, Sportsman, Cosmos, Homestead, Hideaway, Mountaineer, Eagle's Roost, Highlander, Wilderness, and Wrangler. The cabins are all sided in rustic matarials much of which was salvaged from historic buildings that could not be saved. These materials range in age from 80 to 100 years old. Even the Lodge has rustic siding recovered from the 100-year-old buildings of the Poland China Mine. The result is modern comfortable accomodations that are an inconspicuous part of the landscape and not a prominent element of the beautiful valley view.
