North Central Washington Public Lands Near Eden Valley

Public land borders Eden Valley Guest Ranch for a couple miles offering multi-use trails for mountain biking, trail riding and miles more of hiking trails. Many more public lands are in the Okanogan Highlands and north central washington.

The Chesaw Unit of the Scotch Creek Wildlife Area is owned by Washington State Dept. of Fish & Wildlife.  This site is about 10 miles east of Eden Valley Guest Ranch.  Read about the Chesaw site.

About 25 miles west of Oroville or 20 miles west of Tonasket is the Sinlahekin Wild Life Area with lakes for fishing and bird watching as well as trails.

The Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail goes nearby to Eden Valley Guest Ranch.  Visit the PNNST website for information.

West of Oroville about 25 miles is the Washington State Dept. of Natural Resource Loomis State Forest (location of Loomis Forest). Detailed information for the Washington State Department of Natural Resouces provides information for use and responsiblity.

The United States Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands west of Oroville are the Split Rock, Palmer Mountain and Chopaka sites. Historically our guests seem to have little information about these nearby BLM lands.

Web searches may provide information on hiking or mountain biking for the Tonasket and Oroville areas.  The Chambers for Oroville and Tonasket have maps and brochures of the north Okanogan.
