Local Museums in north central Washington at Oroville and Molson

Our local Museums in north central Washington house pioneer history, agriculture and mining. Two museums are nearby in Molson and a few miles away is another in Oroville.  There are six more museums with a bit longer drive.

A twenty minute drive west from Eden Valley are the Oroville Depot Museum and Historic MacDonald Cabin in Oroville, WA.  This museum is known for its early railroad and train information, but it has much much more. 

A six-mile drive north of Eden Valley is the Old Molson Ghost Town, open daylight hours April - November, by donation.

Two block further north is the Molson Schoolhouse Museum, in Central Molson.  Open everyday Memorial Day through Labor Day, 10 am to 5 pm.

1. About 50 miles to Conconully Museum - open 10-5, Saturday and Sunday in summer.
2. About 55 miles to Okanogan County Historical Museum and Fire Hall - open 10-4,  everyday in summer.
3. About 95 miles to Winthrop, will take you to the Shafer Museum - open 10-5, everyday in summer.
4. About 60 Miles to Republic to the Stonerose Fossil Center and other historical sites.  Visit the Stonerose web site for their hours.  They are open May through October.
5. About 50 miles on back roads to Curlew (established 1900) is the Ansorage Hotel Museum built 1900; (509) 779-4961.
6. About 60 miles to Malo (between Curlew and Republic) is the Antique Car & Truck Museum & Indian Interpretive Center; (509) 779-4961.
