Snowmobiling

The closest trail-head to Eden Valley Guest Ranch is called Highland Sno-Park about six miles south.  So, staying at Eden Valley Guest Ranch in comfort with a nice fire in the evenings really can enhance a snowmobiling trip!  Each cabin has a full size tub and or shower unit in the bathroom, which is important to many ladies.  There are 52 miles in the groomed Bonaparte Trail System of the US Forest Service Tonasket Ranger District.  The Bonaparte Trails can be accessed near Eden Valley Guest Ranch at the Highland Snopark or Bonaparte Snopark.  Plus, Eden Valley Guest Ranch borders the US Forest Service Mt. Hull Section of the Tonasket Ranger District.  There are some non-groomed trails there.  The large fields near by make a safer place to play or for training those learning to ride.  It is easier to dig out the beginners if they get stuck in a big field instead of a narrow trail.

Parking for Trucks & Trailers at Eden Valley.Snowmobiling is a big sport in Okanogan County.  Okanogan Highlands is in the northeast part of the County.  The Highland Sno-Park is about six miles south and has trails that lead off in one direction for snowmobiles and another direction for skiers.  The Forest Service Travel plan identifies rules for use of the public lands both winter and summer.  The Washington State Parks web site identifies trail locations with maps showing trails and parking areas and also has rules for use.  That web site is  http://parks.state.wa.us/130/Winter-Recreation.  There are over 400 miles of groomed trails in the County.  Washington State Sno-parks require permits and snowmobiles must be licensed to use the trails.

An ample area is plowed at Eden Valley Lodge to park trucks and trailers.  Guests with snowmobile trailers may request cabins #2, #3, or #4 where parking with trailer works great.  We have a loop drive, so no need to turn around.
