Cross Country Skiing

Eden Valley Guest Ranch has its own trail system, which is open year round for guests (and welcomes dogs).  Our trail system includes miles of non-groomed trails, acres and acres of open land fields and wooded areas.  In winter, we run the major trails with a snowmobile for dogs and beginner snowshoe and skier enthusiasts. Some guests ski in those tracks, however, skiers may ski most anywhere at our ranch.

Groomed premium Cross Country Ski trails are just a few minutes away at the Highlands Sno-Park. A Discover Pass for parking is required.  No dogs are allowed at that premier trail system.

Highland Sno-Park sign for skiing. The Highland Sno-park about six miles south of Eden Valley Guest Ranch has about 35-K groomed Cross Country Trails.  The trails have ski tracks and dogs and show shoes are not allowed.  These trails see few skiers compared to most places.

Skiers may also be rewarded with winter wildlife sightings including owls.  This is one of the Highland's special spots for owl seeking birders.

We encourage everyone to bring binoculars and telescopes for use while you relax back at the ranch.
